Narneekie Cohen

Neekie is a very talented young woman who at the young age of 17 has already achieved so much as a young athlete. Here are some of her efforts and titles so far:

2019 NRL Sydney Roosters 

Neekie was chosen in 2018 to compete in the Sydney Roosters under 18's team in 2019


2019 Jillaroos & NSW Star and Sydney Roosters Women's 

As well as playing for the Sydney Roosters, Neekie will also spend a lot of her 2019 playing in the Jillaroos Team and the NSW NRL Women's Stars team

Neekie was announced Captain of her team.


Jackson Pope 

Jackson is a 15yr old student from Loganlea State High School who has a disability (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and due to this can find school to be a bit of a challenge but has found a natural talent and outlet for his ASD…….. Track & Field. Track and Field has become Jackson’s focus when attending school and he is passionate about keeping in school so that he can continue to compete at a professional level.

In 2017 Jackson qualified for Loganlea State Highschool’s QLD State Finals for Track and Field where he received a Silver Medal for 2nd place in the 800mtrs events, a Bronze Medal for 3rd place for overall at the QLD State Finals.

2018 has brought more success for Jackson thanks to the financial help of ISRF which in July has provided funding for this year’s QLD State Finals 3km cross country which was hosted in Maroochydore, Jackson participated in 3 full days of competing in the finals with an overall place of 13th and a personal best time of 14min 35 seconds

Since returning from Maroochydore Jackson has qualified for the QLD State Championships in Track and Field 100 mtr, 200mtr, 400mtr and 800 mtr which will be held in October. From here Jacksons goal is to make nationals.

2018 QLD National Athletic Titles:

400mtr sprint GOLD

400mtr relay GOLD

200mtr sprint SILVER

800mtr Sprint SILVER

100mtr sprint SILVER


2019 Australian National Title:

Qualified for 100mtr Sprint and is currently the 8th Fastest runner in Australia

8th Place for 100mtrs

Won Gold in the Cairns championship 400mtr 

Won Gold in the Cairns championship 200mtrs 

Won Gold in the Cairns championship 100mtrs

Won Silver in the State 100mtr relay

Won Gold in the State long jump

Won Bronze in the State relay championship.


New and exciting news for Jackson is that Geffrey Smith (1970 decathlon Gold Medalist Commonwealth Games champion) has offered his coaching and mentoring for Jackson at no cost. This wonderful service provided by Geffrey addition to Jackson current coach Murray will see an even brighter future for Jackson.
